We follow the trail to a courtyard with a ritual circle that was emanating power and ghostly flashbacks are encountered nearby.
As Fille approached the circle, Takahashi Renjiro comes from the dark and advises us not to do that as she saw Wang Yue try as well and she suffered with a pained expression.
They converse and Fille asks why he is writing her letters, he says ‘although the flower in the garden is pruned, it can still bloom’.
Fille steps into the circle anyway and experiences visions starting with the words ‘so lost, so lost’

The group reconvenes with the ones that went feeding and Moi Yan translates the note left to us by the japanese man last session. It translates to approximately ( We cordially invite you to join us, the emperor rewards those who join).
The coterie then goes down a road to a roadside shrine to a earth deity. The statue is cracked and fallen face down. Fille lifts it up and finds the prince’s face upon it. She hears
- ‘I tore the anchor of his line’
- ‘bleeding my city dry’ We also find a piece of broken jade on the floor.
We then were interrupted in a scene where we see at the end of the road, the sheriff and his men being ambushed by green gang members from the international settlement. He waves us off signalling us to go.
We then follow the trail to a empty street called ‘xi chang’ and at the end of it, a stall. The man at the store is frying dumplings that are going rancid and his face is grey. He is sweating while doing all of this in summer clothing during winter. He looks at Fille and says ‘he has spoken to you too’. She then notices that he has no shadow, the man then says ‘i was told to keep the store open’. The trail leads to a ruined temple nearby
On the way to the temple we find rats running down the gutter but going to a seperate house to the right of the temple. (we do not go there, but later learn Hong Yee is probably there).
We find Wu Lian Hua’s ghoul Ling Xiao Yu here and she was told to tell us that ‘the revenant wants our blood and soul, to become alive but we can only give it temporary sustenance. And that if we cannot resolve the issue we will face what was buried there’ (this is a lil wrong) Ling Xiao Yu also says that 2 others were here, Zhou Yu and Wong Ka Ming.
The temple
We find cats in the temple and fille finds them near a wall.
One of the cats licks her (and the green blood) and immediately dies. The shadow leaves the cat and it immediately runs into the wall. It is shown that the wall is an illusion and it leads into a lightless cave down into the earth. We find that the tunnels deeper are lined with sigils of the prince, a taowu symbol and one we do not recognise.
In a wider area we find there are pieces of jade everywhere. It seemed that an explosion occurred in the vicinity and there were claw marks on the wall. Fille finds out in a vision that kindred were in great pain here, and it was recent.
Yao Li uses clairvoyance and sees a vision of a bronze sword with blood running down it stuck to the earth and was told it was important.
We find Wong Ka Ming on a slab and Zhou Yu knealing with a bronze sword in his hand. The sword is impaled onto the earth. Their bodies are black and desiccated and we find that on Wong Ka Ming there are cut marks that match her dagger. There was also a ring of blood around them and the floor is cracked and fused.
We hear someone has entered the tunnels and contemplate options
We then decide to push forward. We find a door lined with silver, behind it a large room with a altar and a body draped over it. The walls are lined with bronze, copper and silver.
The winds then rush in and coalesce into a shadowy figure that resembles the prince, its face shifting between the prince and a dark entity full of malice.
We descend into a fight and learn that the entity is incorporeal and requires 3 servings of blood per round. A slight indecisive fight occurs as Zhou Haoran and Fille fight the entity while Yao Li, He Zhen and Moi Yan goes to the body on the altar whom we learn is the prince and loot it. Finding
- an jade amulet for Moi Yan After another round of fighting Zhou Haoran finally kills the entity and it explodes spraying green and black blood everywhere staining Zhou Haoran and a black cloud fuses into him.
Post battle looting reveals
We sleep for the night as sun sets.
On the next day we carry the prince’s body out and find Li Xuan on the way out reminiscing of the things that happened here. He tells us to bring the body back to Zhao Li Ling and will go and inspect the blood sigils in the room that he has forgotten. He also still expresses interests in the vase that we have not delivered to him.
The scenario ends, the world will want to know what happened. The sires, the primogens and the clans.
Farid ascends as priest and exits the political scene.
