Wu Lian Hua walks to Chen Wei and whispers into his ear and he feels a bit of shame. She walks to the coterie and asks for the ”acounting of Lian Na”. He Zhen and Moi Yan tells her that it might be a plot of Qiu Jin. We are told that we are played into the hands of the more powerful and if we continue to be pawns we will suffer. She also in a way blames us for enabling the conflict to happen by going to night front (due to Zhou Haoran)
Wu Lian Hua then tells us to bring her to Li Xuan. She wants to “look” at him. Moi Yan then goes to talk to Li Xuan, Li Xuan talks about roman vases and wants her to get it.
Wu Lian Hua sees Li Xuan and claims that ‘something of himself’ is missing. “what can take a part of lixuan from him? image the power that did that” She claims that there will be a new prince by the end if the year.

Yao Li is approached by Tang Yu Wong and claims to be a fan. He invites her to perform at ‘the grand’ and wishes to poach her from the paramount.
Moi Yan talks to Ayako and sucks up to her. Ayako sucks up to Moi yan. Each of them talking each other up and redirecting the anger to the foreigners.
Zhou Haoran talks to Zhou Yu to talk about the merger of the green gangs of the international settlement and french concession. He says that he will set up a talk with his men.
Helena Smith walks out of a room euphoric, Fille and Zhou Haoran slip into the room, we find a dead drained russian woman (Katrina)
He Zhen talks to Helena Smith’s sire Zhou Yu and talks to him about katrina. Zhou yu tells him that he needs the body gone, drunk women taken away by other men. He Zhen tells him to get katrina away and that he owes him. Zhou Yu also asks what happened here, and that helena is not one to lose control. Qiu Jin address Zhao Li Ling directly, telling her that the opium is killing the city and that he needs to do something about it. Qiu Jin walks out with Chen Wei and Wong Ka Ming. Chen Wei presumably defecting to the nightfront.
Yao Li talks to Wang Yue, alluding a plot with katrina. Sensing her reaction, and found out that she has some knowledge about all these and is amused.
