Moi yan visits Wu Lian Hua and find her alone starting a piece of broken jade. Moi Yan offers to spend some time with her and wu lian hua is grateful. She intends to exacerbate her drepression.?! Wu lian hua sympathises with moi yan and supposed depression that she is trying to impart.
Wong Ka Ming arrives at the coterie haven. One of the Iron Claw’s agents “Liu Zhi Hao”, a mortal. ” is help captive in Takahashi Renjiro’s domain in a japanese jail. The agent was trying to steal from a counsellor officer of the japanese embassy that has blackmail material.
Lian Na talks to Chen Wei about the conundrum in Takahashi Renjiro’s domain. And he encourages her to continue doing whatever she wants to do. We find out there is discontent between chen wei and takahashi, and he is not really friendly to the japanese. He talks about the political climate and says that he prefers the Prince to lead over Iron Claw.
The coterie decides to go raid the counsellor’s house. Riding past on a rickshaw and moving past and the house, we find a japanese soldier guarding the house in the front.
Moi Yan and Zhou Haoran enter by the front. Lian Na and He Zhen enter by the 2 meter tall back wall. The compound is empty and we find the documents on the 2nd floor but soon after we notice that operatives have surrounded the facility. 10 at the front door and 6 at the back.
We decide to escape by the back wall and kill 6 of them on the way out. The coterie splits up to escape. Zhou Haoran sees Shimuzu Aya observing as we depart. Oddly she seems happy about this.
He Zhen tries to find a contact to help read the documents. During his feeding on 4 hunger, he unfortunately kills a prostitute during the feeding and drains him.

We invite Wong Ka Ming to the haven and present the information to her.
She is unsettled by the numbers and the documents.
We learn the whole row of warehouses that warehouse 12 is owned by the japanese navy.
We conclude that this was a trap and the materials might have been planted.
We learn that Takahashi Renjiro’s grandfather was part of the Navy.
And that Takahashi Renjiro arrived in shanghai in the last 30 years and that he is the primogen because he is part of the Brujah (红旗 - Hóng Qí) that remained after the brujah went to the Anarchs (Night Front). Qiu Jin, was the brujah primogen that facilitate the departure during the fall of the Qing Dynasty.
We also learn that Chen Wei pass on the leadership position because he did not want it.
We head back with Wong Ka Ming to meet Iron Claw
We learn:

He is unsure what Zhao Li Ling is up to and that she will take whatever it takes to maintain power.
He does not know whether Old Crow’s allegiance lies.
Zhou Haoran is invited to see a portriat of the Prince.
Iron Claw tells Lian Na about chen wei and he should come with his sire to the night front.

Moi Yan talks Liang Yiating, to talk about recent events. And she is disappointed about her course of actions, noting that this is unbecoming of a ventrue and that she should have used different methods to handle things with more subterfuge. She suggest to wait to see what Takahashi Renjiro does, and says that the Ventrue (玉门 - Yù Mén) does not really need to care about the actions of a foreigner.
Lian Na goes to Chen Wei and he says that Takahashi Renjiro sent him a note. He asks about what happened and that takahashi had to cover up for our actions and blame it on the chinese spies. He claims that we should have informed him. But he sheds doubt about the course of events and whether if Takahashi Renjiro is directly involved. He says that she should be careful of making enemies but is proud of her actions so far. He also does not take the threat of the japanese seriously nor the possibility of a invasion.
